Refunds & Returns
Overview
We offer a voluntary 30-day returns policy for eligible items, in addition to any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA"). Nothing in this Returns Policy limits or excludes your statutory rights. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
For voluntary (change-of-mind) returns, items must be unused, in substantially the same condition in which they were received, and, where reasonably possible, returned in their original packaging together with all accessories and documentation. These requirements do not affect your statutory rights to return goods that are defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise protected under applicable law. We also require a receipt or proof of purchase.
To request a return you can click here to contact us. If your return is accepted you will receive an email with a return reference and how to send your package back to us. If you send your package back to us without requesting a return it will not be accepted.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5 working days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet:
1. First check your bank account again.
2. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
3. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please click here to contact us.
Damages
Please inspect your order upon delivery and notify us as soon as reasonably possible if:
- the item is damaged;
- the item is defective;
- the wrong item was supplied; or
- any item is missing.
Prompt notification allows us to resolve the matter quickly. However, nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including the six-month implied warranty on qualifying goods.
Warranty on Defective Goods
Where goods are found to be defective within the period provided for under the Consumer Protection Act, you may be entitled to choose between repair, replacement or a refund, subject to the provisions of the Act. This statutory warranty applies in addition to any manufacturer's warranty that may accompany the product.
Cooling-Off Rights on Online Purchases
Where applicable, consumers purchasing goods online may have the right to cancel certain transactions within seven (7) days after receiving the goods in accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Any cancellation under the ECTA will be handled in accordance with the requirements of that Act.
Exceptions / non-returnable items*
Only regular priced items can be returned. Sale or promotional items are not eligible for voluntary change-of-mind returns unless otherwise stated. This does not affect your statutory rights in respect of defective goods, incorrectly supplied goods, or any other rights provided under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Personalised, customised, special-order or made-to-order products cannot be returned solely because you changed your mind. However, if such goods are defective or do not comply with applicable consumer protection legislation, your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Shipping returns
Unless otherwise required by law, customers are responsible for the cost of returning goods for voluntary (change-of-mind) returns. Where goods are defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise required to be returned under applicable consumer protection legislation, we will arrange collection or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs where appropriate.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
